Gath is a fairly unimportant agricultural world. It has little developed infrastructure; its small starport is of good quality and capability, but is almost entirely orbital. The downport component consists of a chained off landing area and rough roads connecting it to distant towns. There aren’t even any water tanks or other water sources nearby, so all refuel and resupply activities must be conducted at the orbital facilities.
Gath has had another change in its leadership. This new leader has promised to make changes and improvements for everyone’s benefit. While she seems to be popular with the populace, they aren’t expecting any real improvements; after all, the last dozen leaders changed nothing; why would she be different?
In the outer system, two other “recent” colonies have been established. These two colonies are similar in size (around 20000) and governments, but are very different. The first colony is in a dry, desert environment, orbiting the system’s Close Companion star, whereas the other is on a large ocean world, orbiting the primary star at an extreme distance.

This world’s name was taken from that great scifi book series, The Dumarest Saga, written by E.C. Tubb, and published from1967 to 2008. I make no claim to this world name; I use it only as an homage to a series which heavily influenced me (and, according to legend, Traveller itself.
