Streyelea is an odd system in that it has as many stars as planets [5 each]. As there is little to recommend these other worlds (two being radiation-blasted worlds, one is huge with an excessive level of gravity, and the other an extremely large and violent gas giant), Streyelea is the only destination for visiting ships. The local starport does not provide refined fuel, and few services beyond basic resupply and minor repairs. As there are few true destinations in the system, piracy is not much of a problem here, as there are few places to hide, or conduct an ambush.
There are three governments on Streyelea, each located among one of the three major island chains. For the most part these governments get along, and there have been no major disagreements in over a century. All attempts to form a single, cohesive government have failed, however, and there have been no discussions on the subject in over 40 years.
Even with its lack of suitable facilities for visitors, Streyelea does have a good level of tourism. An extensive sport fishing industry is present, and the world’s extensive coral reef network is a favored tourist attraction.
