Sacaweena is a somewhat important, higher tech world. Much of its tech is imported, but it uses what it has most efficiently. The world is a major regional producer of various mid-range steel (and other alloy) structural components. The world is divided into three governments, which have had their differences over the years, and have never even tried to form a unified government.

Currently, these three governments are in the beginning stages of a “cold war”, having had a major setback in a dispute over mineral rights in the system’s main planetoid belt (orbit #6; the belt in orbit #8 is small and almost worthless, being composed almost entirely of ice chunks). The smallest of these governments (population around 35000) has seized control of the belt, using mercenaries to enforce its will. The other two governments (170000 people, TL-A; 130000 TL-B) are currently not in a position to dispute the claim. There have been recent accidents in various locations for all three societies, and a major conflict is brewing; what this conlict shapes up to be remains to be seen.

Visitors to Sacaweena are being advised to be careful, and to avoid potential entanglements.

This is my 72nd hand-generated “System of the Day” entry, using the Traveller5 (T5) rules, from Far Future Enterprises. My goal is to publish one random system per day in 2020.

——————————
This world’s name was taken from that great scifi book series, The Dumarest Saga, written by E.C. Tubb, and published from 1967 to 2008. I make no claim to this world name; I use it only as an homage to a series which heavily influenced me (and, according to legend, Traveller itself).
——————————

This system was generated by hand, using a set of dice I have owned for over 30 years, and using the Traveller5 (T5) rules set. Feel free to use this system in your own campaigns. Permission is granted to publish these results, as long as the copyrights of Far Future Enterprises are not violated, and no money is charged for them.

As always, comments and input are appreciated.
KEEP ON TRAVELLING!
