Tyrann is a low tech world, which has used what tech it has (plus assistance from various sources) to colonize a number of planets in its system. Some observers consider the actions of the current society to be rather… ‘aggressive’, in that it can barely support such expansion, either with their technology or their available resources. But they have accomplished this goal, surprising many detractors.
Tyrann has slowly increased its technological base [some areas are already at TL 8], and is aggressively pushing an agenda of tech expansion. Indeed, there are some rumors afoot that the government, or its agents, is attempting to steal technology from other nearby systems. However, all such claims are scoffed at by government representatives.
Tyrann’s system is somewhat unusual in that there are NO worlds in the inner orbits; all worlds are located outside of the primary star’s jump limit. There are a handful of scientists who believe this is significant, but they are ignored by the mainstream, for the most part.

NOTE: These systems, as generated, are generic. Referees will need to modify the system and descriptions to fit their campaign needs.

ADVENTURING OPPORTUNITIES – A small list of potential situations. Each must be fleshed out by the GM.
1. Espionage. The players are in a nearby system, and approached by someone who “looks like a spy”. This person, who refuses to give his name, offers a significant amount of money for the group to steal a higher technology item. [If the players have their own vessel, the item they are asked to acquire is not directly related to starship technology.] If the players take the job, they’ll soon find they were either being set up, or used as a distraction while another team makes the real attempt at another target. Will the players escape the trap? And will they be able to track down they purported patron?

This is my 88th hand-generated “System of the Day” entry, using the Traveller5 (T5) rules, from Far Future Enterprises. My goal is to publish one random system per day in 2020.
——————————
This world’s name was taken from that great scifi book series, The Dumarest Saga, written by E.C. Tubb, and published from1967 to 2008. I make no claim to this world name; I use it only as an homage to a series which heavily influenced me (and, according to legend, Traveller itself).

This system was generated by hand, using a set of dice I have owned for over 30 years, and using the Traveller5 (T5) rules set. Feel free to use this system in your own campaigns. Permission is granted to publish these results, as long as the copyrights of Far Future Enterprises are not violated, and no money is charged for them.

As always, comments and input are appreciated.
KEEP ON TRAVELLING!
