Bogalia is a poor, fairly unimportant world. Over the years its government has become extremely inefficient, dragging down research, development, the economy, and progress in general. The citizens seem resigned to the situation, and may be powerless to change things anyway. The population level, never very high to begin with, has been slowly declining over the last several decades.
The local economy is in shambles. The world brings in many more resources than it rightfully needs, given its low population level. All attempts to trace missing resources, cargoes, etc, always seem to turn up at ‘dead ends’. This almost certainly points toward government corruption and (possibly) organized crime groups, but no proof to such claims has ever been found. Since all such investigations are run by government agencies, it this should come as no surprise.

ADVENTURING OPPORTUNITIES – A small list of potential situations. Each must be fleshed out by the GM.
1. Investigation. While not on Bogalia, the players are hired to “stick their noses” into the situation on Bogalia. Specifically, the patron wants them to investigate a highly placed official with the local starport authority. This individual reports directly to the world’s ruling council, and will be difficult to approach. Can the players bet close to the target? Is he actually corrypt? Or are his options limited, just like everyone else’s on Bogalia?
