Nachamia is a very unimportant, backwater world. Closely orbiting a dwarf yellow star, the world is tidally locked. There are a number of settlements on the Nachamia, most of which are tunneled under the world’s barren surface. There are very few domed settlements, as Nachamia’s technological base isn’t capable of fully supporting them. Those which do exist are remnants/remains from previous colonization or mining efforts, and are centuries old.
As with most vacuum worlds, Nachamia must import most of its food. The world, and most planets within the system, are poor in resources, providing little income, or potential income, for the struggling world and its companies. Regional economists and observers are concerned the world will go deeper and deeper into debt, and have hinted at the future potential of an outside takeover, if their situation doesn’t improve.
Other than the planetoid belt in the system’s second orbit, no other world is settled, as there is little reason to do so. Few prospectors are ever seen in the system. Until some enterprising individual or corporation makes a significant discovery, it is likely Nachamia will remain a backwater system.
