Settled eons ago, it seems, Jourdan has been settled for unknown generations, and has always been an agricultural world of minor importance. While the world has had its ups and downs historically, Jourdan is currently on a historical “upswing”, with a slowly increasing population and steady increase in agricultural output.
One factor leading in to Jourdan’s increasing output, and importance, is a slow but steady increase in the world’s technology base, which has once again seen an increase when compared to the last century. Currently, it has yet to be determined if this is part of a normal historical cycle, or if there are outside factors coming into play.
Whatever the case may be, the demand for Jourdan’s exports is increasing, and the world may soon see a major resurgence in importance.

This is my 133rd hand-generated “System of the Day” entry, using the Traveller5 (T5) rules, from Far Future Enterprises. My goal is to publish one random system per day in 2020.

This world’s name was taken from that great scifi book series, The Dumarest Saga, written by E.C. Tubb, and published from 1967 to 2008. I make no claim to this world name; I use it only as an homage to a series which heavily influenced me (and, according to legend, Traveller itself).
