Schike is a minor world, located in a stellar system with few planetary bodies. The nearly one thousand residents are concerned mainly with their small local mines, as well as dealing with local “freelance vessels” which call here. These are, of course, pirates, though most do not perform raiding here – the open port and lax laws make it easier to sell off ‘hot’ cargoes.
Schike itself is the innermost of three moons orbiting a large gas giant. The other moons are being surveyed or mined in some form, though the deposits aren’t extensive.

This world’s name was taken from that great scifi book series, The Dumarest Saga, written by E.C. Tubb, and published from 1967 to 2008. I make no claim to this world name; I use it only as an homage to a series which heavily influenced me (and, according to legend, Traveller itself).
