An unimportant backwater system, O’Chawan lies well off the main trade routes, receiving few visitors. The local economy, such as it is, has always been based on mining various forms of local crystals, as well as other common ores.

Food products are always welcome trade items here, fetching higher prices – especially if they are fresh. The locals have always been able to feed themselves without issue, owing to their technology. However, vat-grown food is boring, and they are always interested in variety. Exotic, rare foods, in particular, are in high demand, so much so bidding wars have erupted between various social factions. These bidding wars have become so intense at times, their effects have spilled over into local politics.

1. Help A Guy Out Here. A local wants the party to remove someone temporarily. The target is a political and social rival, bidding against the patron for rare, desirable spices. He doesn’t want the target killed or injured in any way, merely prevented from bidding for several days. Once the bidding is complete, he wants the target released in an out of the way section of the habitat. The players must quickly work out how to bypass the target’s protection and guards, as well as hold him incognito without escaping.
