Busypso (boo-SIP-soh) is a water world with only 4% of its surface area having exposed land. This, combined with its cold environment, rough weather patterns, and tainted air, has limited the world’s growth and potential. The 58,000 or so residents reside mainly on half-a-dozen islands, clustered in a small archipelago. Many of the world’s other islands are, as is typical for water worlds, the tops of underwater mountains and volcanoes, most of which are active or currently dormant. Indeed, these volcanoes are largely responsible for the sulfuric taint in Busypso’s atmosphere.
Busypso’s saving grace is its location, being a ‘feeder’ route from nearby worlds to a more important trade route. Thus the starport sees significant traffic. Most vessels refuel at the starport, as the atmosphere’s sulfuric taint tends to cause problems with most lower TL purification systems. If it weren’t in this location, the world would likely be an ignored backwater.
