Dennadus is a minor agricultural world. Its low technology base inhibits further development, though the society’s agricultural techniques are efficient enough to keep the world’s production competitive in neighboring systems. The world is notable for its lack of predators; even imported predators are noticeably absent in the world’s ecology – excepting the sea life, of course, where predators abound. Most of these are not excessively large, however, and can usually be hunted with a canoe and spear. Spear fishing and ocean sport fishing are major pastimes, and a minor tourist draw.
The furthest world in the system [the IceWorld in orbit #14] shows evidence of being a captured world. Its orbit is eccentric, and its composition differs from other worlds in the system. Scientists speculate the world was captured by the large Gas Giant in the system’s 13th orbit, and the large companion star (orbit #8) kept the world from becoming another moon of that gas giant. A group of scientists from Dennadus’ primary University maintain a small scientific outpost on this world (with chartered offworld assistance), conducting a wide variety of research.
