Nocia (No-see-ya) is a small, rich world with a pleasant, if wet, environment. Its land surface consists of several small continents (which are more properly classified as large islands) and a number of island chains. Most of the islands are situated in the same general area, in a long chain slicing across the world’s equatorial region. Because of this geographical setup, most people who visit consider the world as more “tropical” than temperate, though temps would vary considerably if there were more land available.
Predictably, Nocia’s economy centers around the sea. It is a major exporter of popular seafood, and its gourmet seafood is in high demand. Nocia is also a tourist destination, with the usual entertainments provided: snorkeling, scuba diving, etc. Parasailing is very popular, as the world’s low gravity and standard atmosphere allow for extreme (yet safe) heights to be reached.
The icy world in the system’s seventh orbit has been settled with the intent to one day construct large domed environments. These are planned to be rather large (on the order of dozens of kilometers) and house several different environments. Currently the colonists on site are conducting extensive surveys, searching for the best locations for the domes, as well as conducting extensive surveys for necessary resources.
