Chron is a fairly important world. Though it has no atmosphere at all, and a low population, it is important as a repair and refuel location along a major trade route, and thus sees significant traffic. Chron’s starport is efficiently run, and does a good business in starship repairs and overhauls. Around 50% of the world’s 1.7 million people involved with the starport, or its associated subsidiary businesses, in some fashion.
The system possesses decent resources, and its single planetoid belt is being heavily exploited. Because of this the government is “flush” with cash, and has built a significant defense fleet to defend its interests within the system. Some time ago several regional companies attempted to perform illegal mining within the system, but they weren’t counting on the government’s tenacity in regards to keeping the system free from interlopers, and were soon evicted. To this day, no outside company has established operations anywhere within the Chron system.
Miners working for the system’s (government owned) corporation have begun to survey the world in Orbit number 2. Initial results are promising, and plans are being drawn up for further investment.

NOTE: These systems, as generated, are generic. Referees will need to modify the system and descriptions to fit their campaign needs.

This is my 185th hand-generated “System of the Day” entry, using the Traveller5 (T5) rules, from Far Future Enterprises. My goal is to publish one random system per day in 2020.
——————————
This world’s name was taken from that great scifi book series, The Dumarest Saga, written by E.C. Tubb, and published from 1967 to 2008. I make no claim to this world name; I use it only as an homage to a series which heavily influenced me (and, according to legend, Traveller itself).

This system was generated by hand, using my new Traveller dice and the Traveller5 (T5) rules set. Feel free to use this system in your own campaigns. Permission is granted to publish these results, as long as the copyrights of Far Future Enterprises are not violated, and no money is charged for them.
