Peresvet is another backwater world. Located far from trade lanes, the system sees very little commercial traffic, with only a single scheduled ship, stopping in the system once every 6 weeks on average. The system is so sparse even pirates avoid the place.
Some resources have been discovered, enough to draw a number of independent belters (technically, independent miners, as there are no planetoid belts in the system) to try their luck. Some few make a small strike, but must travel to other nearby systems to sell their ore. In most cases the amount made is barely enough for the belter to survive, or in some few cases move on to another system with more potential. But some profitable, successful finds have occurred, enough to keep drawing independents to the system. The large companies, however, maintain their distance; there is no infrastructure or local support, and the startup costs would be prohibitive.
