Nesigawa itself is a cold desert world. The cold air and lack of humidity make it a miserable place to call home; this is one major reason the world’s population remains low. A second reason is the all-around lousy economy; there are few opportunities for advancement here, unless you are “in” with the current leadership of the world. The world’s government is controlled by a popular dictator; he got people to support him by promising ‘change’ – better living conditions, improved opportunities, etc. These changes have yet to be realized, and rumors are indicating another potential government change is in the works. Of course, the new leader will likely be similar to the previous ones, and no in is really expecting any improvement in their situation…
