O’Phiza is a minor, low population world with abundant resources. Originally set up as a mining operation, the population expanded to the point where a real government was needed. The corporation which began the mining operations is still heavily active on the world, and is very influential in the local economy, and thus the government.
O’Phiza’s shipyard is small, and is mainly concerned with upkeep of ore freighters, which move the world’s ore output to nearby industrial worlds. New construction is rare; any new ship built here will require twice the construction time, and at almost twice the cost of other yards.
A small Navy base maintains a fleet of patrol craft, which enforce local traffic laws and keep pirates out of the system.
The world has just enough infrastructure to maintain its operations, but has almost no local food production whatsoever.
