Bakitune is a system which has seen more prosperous times.
Once a rich, prominent world, the rising population has impacted Bakitune’s economy, decreasing exports (relatively, of course, in relation to current population and production levels), and its technological development has almost come to a standstill. This has had local officials worried for decades, and various incentive programs to alter this trend have had little apparent impact. The world’s industries, though stagnant, are still productive, producing a wide array of products and services.
The world orbits a hot A-class primary star. The system’s jump point is very far out from the primary; fortunately, so is it’s “Goldilocks Zone”, the habitable region. The majority of the system’s worlds, however, are not located outside the jump limit, resulting in very long travel times to the inner system. For this reason in particular the inner worlds are seldom visited.
