Xame is a pre-starflight, balkanized world. Located in a system with rich resources, the governments receive royalties from a mining corporation, which operates in the very distant planetoid belt (Orbit#14). These royalties are used primarily to maintain Transit Station (see below). The four governments on Xame are cooperative, and there hasn’t been any real conflict between them in generations; their differences are more geographical and philosophical in nature.
Xame itself receives limited ship traffic; the distance and times involved with travel to/from the system’s distant jump point is prohibitive to most ship captains and corporations, and most make use of the convenient Travel Station. Located outside of the system’s Jump Limit, in its 12th Orbit, this station provides easy access to the world’s products. Most of its major companies maintain small offices here, and Xame’s major distribution and shipping companies maintain a healthy presence here. Competition for newly arrived cargoes can be intense, as the world is hungry for offworld products. Fuel is fairly easy to obtain here; refined fuel is available at a slight discount, being subsidized by the governments to encourage trade. As mentioned above, mining royalties are used to maintain shipping services between Travel Station and Xame, utilizing higher tech (offworld) technology (primarily shuttle craft, though a few larger, non-jump-capable space craft are also used for larger shipments).
One item of local interest: locals maintain traditional legends about The Triplets. The system’s first three planets are nearly identical in nature, though only the third world isn’t tidally locked to the primary star (and has a moon). A number of colorful stories revolve around this trio of worlds, though these legends vary significantly by region. Several of these stories maintain the Triplets have a fourth sister, known mockingly as The Runt [the fourth planet]. Some social groups maintain these three (or four) planets can be used to predict the future, and in some cases even allow some to converse with the dead… while these stories do have a wide following, most consider these latter claims to be, “rather ludicrous”.

NOTE: These systems, as generated, are generic. Referees will need to modify the system and descriptions to fit their campaign needs.
