Of all the planets in the region, Acarro can certainly qualify as one of the more… interesting worlds around.
Possessing a dense, high pressure atmosphere, Acarro is tidally locked to a small gas giant. In addition, 98.5% of the world’s surface is covered by oceans. The gas giant’s distance from the primary star is actually considered good for Acarro’s weather, as the giant and its moons receive lower heat and radiation from the star. The other effects – the gas giant’s gravity and radiation effects, Acarro’s dense, high pressure atmosphere, and a surface covered by oceans – combine to make the weather on Acarro “problematic”.
Acarro has little usable land mass, and most of this is in the form of small, towering mountains, towering being a relative term, as most are far shorter than 1000 meters in height.
The weather, cold climate, and lack of land have combined to keep Acarro’s population rather low, as few wish to live here on a permanent basis. The prospects for development continue to be almost non-existent, as there is no real room for expansion, and current tech development on the world prohibits large underwater structures – ones which can be easily built and maintained without extensive assistance, that is.
