Muuhi Gowin is an out of the way, dangerous place to call home. Conditions on the world, both socially and environmentally, are ill-suited for long-term habitation. The water sources are polluted with chemicals (derived from this world’s environment), the atmosphere is thin and filled with harsh, abrasive dust, and the lifeforms which developed here are dangerous. Very few of these native forms are suitable for human consumption, and care must be taken when hunting. That being said, over 4000 people live here, eking out a living in some manner. These people are not necessarily friendly to visitors (far from it), but they won’t attack someone without cause – in most cases, anyway.
Politically, very few people actually partake in ‘politics’ here. Those who do know better than to try to control the lives of their neighbors; violence is not common here anymore, but every resident knows how to take care of themselves, and most have a few friends who will assist them – or avenge them. Because of the native life forms (and some imported ones, as well) everyone is armed at all times.
Crime and crime organizations are rare here. Even with the lack of laws or enforcement, there is little crime on Muuhi Gowin; most who live here know, or know of, most other residents, and someone who suddenly has a new item they didn’t pay for is easily noticed. There are a couple gangs, but they tend to leave the residents alone. Visitors, on the other hand, should be careful…
The remainder of the system is generally ignored. These worlds are generally too hot or cold. Few mineral (or other) resources have been located which are worth the effort of extracting, and these are easier to find and mine in other nearby systems.
