A very important world, Liluri’s high technology and population allows it to dominate nearby systems. Its shipyards are a leading producer of merchant vessels, and it exports a line of very tough SDBs (System Defense Boats) for use in defense of other star systems.
Liluri is a popular destination for tourists and ship crews on leave. Indeed, the shipyards are also noted for their efficient overhaul and upgrade capabilities, and several shipping firms in the region maintain large offices in the highport to facilitate trade.
Of note is a popular tourist destination known as the Liluri Cliffs. These cliffs are situated over a wide expanse of plains with nearly constant winds blowing in from nearby ocean. Combined with the world’s low gravity, these factors allow for easy unpowered flight (gliding) from the cliffs using nothing more than a set of wings. This activity has become hugely popular with tourists, both for locals and visitors, with millions partaking in the experience each local year. Accidents, of course, are unavoidable, but Liluri’s high technology allows for a good degree of safety – most set of wings are equipped with high efficiency, gravitic gear. The power sources for these safety devices do not last long – just long enough for most people to glide to safety – but have saved many lives since their introduction several years ago.
