Kr ‘Yutor is a poor, backwater world, located far from a minor trade lane. Ignored by most travellers and merchants, the system sees little traffic. The world does produce a number of specialized goods, however, making a visit here worthwhile for independent traders. Be forewarned, however; the locals put up with visitors, as they are considered a necessity for this society’s survival, but they in no way like visitors, nor the problems they tend to bring. “Accidental” deaths of visiting merchants has occurred, and these deaths tend to go uninvestigated by local enforcement personnel.
There are few other worlds of interest in the system. A pair of gas giants are present, with one being in a nearby orbit. This closer giant is a “tame”, small one, with few reported storms in its upper atmosphere, making refueling an easy task. Its presence, unfortunately, greatly reduces the potential income from fuel sales for the local starport, making local officials even more surly. At times it has been noted that ship captains who specifically refuel at the starport tend to receive better treatment from port officials, though this has not been proven to everyone’s satisfaction.
