Noida is a somewhat important world. Having recently redeveloped FTL capability, the world’s leader (an elected Dictator) is looking to expand Noida’s starport and shipyard capabilities. She faces stiff opposition, however, from some entrenched politicians, who wish to spend the budget on other needs.
Noida is slowly developing into an industrial world. Currently, its industries are known for their competence in farming and early robotics, though these same industries are beginning to move into mass market civilian vehicles as well. However, Noida’s industries aren’t nearly as efficient as those in other, nearby systems. This is something which analysts say must be corrected before Noida’s industries can compete on an interstellar level.
Due to the travel times involved, much of the inner system is rarely visited, as there is little there to draw interest. However, as new spaceship designs are developed (with improved maneuver drives) this may change. There are a number of small scale mining and survey operations working the far companion star system, with varying degrees of success.
