Yao-Chi is a minor world, in a minor system, on a minor trade route. Very few people call this world “home”, and only grudgingly. Initially settled as a way station/refueling stop, the planned establishment of a starport (to support refueling efforts) was abandoned when the financial backers realized the effort would never break even. Ever since, only a handful of people have remained here.
Not much happens in the Yao-Chi system. A few ships pass through, but fewer stop at the world itself. Most refuel at one of the system’s three gas giants, then depart. On occasion there will be a small cargo of ore available for shipment to a nearby world, though this is a rare occurrence. For the most part this system is ignored by almost everyone.
