Gole is another small agricultural world, but one with a tremendously strong agricultural economy for its size. Its small industries also contribute to the world’s growth and economy, particularly its zero-gravity production industries, which are located in a series of orbital installations.
Gole’s shipyard is very efficient, and well known for the quality of ships it produces. The yard is not, however, known for building military vessels, other than a handful of well constructed system defense boats, and a small fleet of fighters, all for local defense. The world’s industries produce only basic hand weapons, preferring to import defensive and shipborne weapons from other, nearby systems. Their industries are more than capable of producing these weapons themselves; why they prefer to do it this way has never been determined, and officials have nothing to say on the matter.
Even though the system has four gas giants, all are located beyond Gole’s distant orbit. Because of this, there is little traffic around the system’s gas giants, and local patrol vessels make infrequent visits to them, at best. When such visits do occur, they are almost always to the closest of the four giants. Thus ships which visit the outer system will find little protection. This makes life “interesting” for those independent belters who attempt to make a living in the system’s lone, very distant planetoid belt. Though there have been a number of valuable ore strikes over the years, few have occurred in the last decade, and most major mining corporations ignore this belt – at least until another major, valuable strike is made. There are no official facilities in the belt, as it is very wide spread; it can take days to travel between some nearby planetoids. There was a small spaceport located on a large planetoid (almost a small moon), but it has been abandoned, and has deteriorated to the point of uselessness after being stripped of any useful gear. It has been rumored there is a pirate band operating in the belt. If so, they are keeping their presence well hidden, as there have been no reports from the resident belters of any encounters or attacks, and infrequent patrols have turned up no evidence of their presence.
NOTE: These systems, as generated, are generic. Referees will need to modify the system and descriptions to fit their campaign needs.

This is my 293rd hand-generated “System of the Day” entry, using the Traveller5 rules, from Far Future Enterprises. My goal is to publish one random system per day in 2020.
This system was generated by hand, using Traveller dice and the Traveller5 rules set.
Feel free to use this system in your own campaigns. Permission is granted to publish these results, as long as the copyrights of Far Future Enterprises are not violated, and no money is charged for them.
As always, comments and input are appreciated.
