The A’Troobsu system is interesting for the detail that not only does it possess no planetoid belts or gas giants, its worlds also have no natural satellites. Indeed, there are very few loose rocks in the system (which have been discovered to this point), and the system’s Oort cloud is more sparse than typical for an equivalent star. There have been no suitable explanations given by scientists for this phenomenon , though the usual conspiracy theorists have generated a plethora of ideas. None of these ideas have panned out, either. Only one world other than A’Troobsu itself has been colonized; this is a research outpost on the most distant planet in the system, established and run by the local world University.
A’Troobsu itself is a cold, but very important – and rich – agricultural world. The society is peaceful, with no weapons permitted. This runs counter to the predominant sport and pastime on A’Troobsu – combat sports. Martial arts, boxing, and other related non-weapon disciplines are followed and practiced by much of the society with a passion which exceeds that of most other activities, and a high percentage of the world’s citizens practice some form of unarmed martial art. For this reason alone visitors to A’Troobsu should be cautious, as the society is also prone to take quick offense at perceived insults – justified or otherwise.
