Nobe was settled for the usual reasons – resources. The somewhat unique chemical makeup of this world’s atmosphere and oceans drew scientists for research, and corporations to extract them. The world has never been fully developed or settled; indeed, it hasn’t even been fully explored, and there appear to be untold discoveries of unique lifeforms waiting to be discovered and catalogued, especially in this unique world’s deep oceans.
The small settlement and extraction plants are all located within a few hundred kilometers of one another, centered around the starport, of course. The starport and single city are located on the edge of a small ocean inlet.
The remainder of the system is almost completely undeveloped, though it has been charted for the most part. Small groups of independent miners are prospecting several worlds and moons in the system, looking for that one big strike, as independents are wont to do…
